Sadly, Wonderland of Fun has disappeared to other Houston institutions of yesteryear astronomical world and excited.
While Celebration Station and its ilk are irreplaceable in their own way, several new Houston entertainment venues offer nostalgic locals the chance to relive their childhood fun.

Nostalgic longing to flick a joystick on a decades-old machine?Adult gamers can use the Apple Loungea huge arcade bar housing hundreds of arcade games old and new.
For a flat $10 fee, enjoy all the low-res video games of yesteryear — Centipede, Donkey Kong, Galaga, Pac-Man, Galaga, and Dig Dug — plus Guitar Hero, Fruit Ninja, and more Modern wonder. When you visit, expect to hear clangs, crashes and rolls – Cidercade features numerous pinball machines, foosball tables and ski lanes.
Customers 21 and older can drink the company’s namesake cider (it’s hard and homemade). In the parking lot, rotating food trucks serve up a variety of snacks.Children welcome until 8pm
⛳ Push into the rainbow
Puttshack, an “upscale, high-tech” miniature golf chain, is opening its first location in Texas Houston Center Highlights Held April 26 at 1200 McKinney Street in Downtown Houston.
There, the company’s “trackball” technology will record scores and show players’ progress on a digital scoreboard.
The venue will feature four nine-hole miniature golf courses, an event space, two bars serving craft cocktails, and a dining area with an extensive menu including shareables, flatbreads, salads and sandwiches.
Children welcome until 8pm
⚾ Brewing and Batting Practice
home run dugoutA Katy-based sports bar, restaurant and entertainment venue featuring indoor softball and an immersive, gamified batting cage experience for sluggers of all ages and skill levels.
The 46,000-square-foot facility features 12 indoor hitting boxes and uses augmented reality and pitching technology to allow players to simulate and digitally track their shots at any MLB stadium, including Houston’s Minute Maid Field The velocity, distance and position of the ball. Each tee can accommodate up to 12 people.
In addition to the baseball experience, the venue features a full-service restaurant, a concert stage and three bars. A huge courtyard and beer garden surround the mini venue, with shaded seating, fire pits and seating for nearly 500 guests.
The restaurant’s menu features ballpark-style fare, including sharing favorites like crispy chicken strips, smoked chicken wings, and buttermilk onion rings. A Hot Dog Grill offers four different types of hot dogs, including a Chicago hot dog, a ballpark classic, a canoe dog with chili, spicy slaw and crispy onions, and a New York classic with sauerkraut and mustard.

tiger woods Co-owns a chain of miniature golf courses. Each of Woods’ Popstroke courses features two 18-hole putting courses that incorporate the rolls, fairways, bunkers and rough commonly found on traditional golf courses.
The entertainment venue also offers food, craft beer, wine, cocktails and ice cream that can be delivered during the visit.
