new movies this weekend

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 hit the box office this weekend, bringing an exciting finale to one of the MCU’s most beloved trilogies. There will be laughs, tears, character debuts, anthropomorphic trees and grumpy raccoons. You can read our full spoiler free review here (no spoilers, but it’s a very good movie), but our verdict: it’s unclear, and in his role as co-CEO of DC Studios, it’s really unlikely (at least in the short term) It’s a shame to see more James Gunn Marvel movies. As we tried hard to say above, GOTG Vol.3 is one of the best Marvel movies. But his legacy has certainly left its mark on architect Kevin Feige (we believe Kevin), and the best thing about comedy movies is comedy movies…

Vol. 3 of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will be released across the UAE on May 4th. Booking: here.

Saadiyat qualifications

Ladies Night at Saadiyat Beach Club this Friday is full of Latin flair. It’s Cinco De Mayo (May 5th, nothing to do with mayonnaise), and it’s fitting for an occasion like this, with those Mexican festival vibes dialed up to 11.

boat and show

The Maritime Festival isn’t going to get any bigger, nor have the same level of poetic visuals as Abu Dhabi’s Dalma. It was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Representative of the Ruler of the Al Dhafra region. As always, the central rallying point is Dalma Island in the Al Dhafra region of the Emirate and the 2023 edition has set sail with activities and attractions offering sailing fun for the whole family. In addition to the racing activities, there is plenty of additional entertainment on offer, including amazing grazing opportunities, bustling souks and traditional Emirati events. It is scheduled to conclude on May 7 with the traditional highlight of the world’s longest 60-foot sloop race, with a crew of 3,000, spanning 125 kilometers of wild surf and stunning island scenery.

BRB, fitness in our program

The beloved Australian-born fitness brand is known for intense but fair workouts and dramatic conditioning results. These classes combine HIIT sessions, functional training (that’s where the “F” in the name comes from), circuit training, and cool-down periods where you can lock the trainer in their eyes and mouth. Although the last part is completely optional.
