We recently visited Ting Irie and one of our favourite finds, aside from the incredible standard of food, ambience and views, was the Sun Down menu. It’s only available all day on Fridays, and you can enjoy a variety of drinks (including cocktails and mocktails), appetizers (such as jerk humus, oxtail cocobread and jerk chickenwing) from AED 30 and half-price (or close enough) main dishes ) for AED 75 (eg spitfiyah jerk chicken and curry goat).Check out our review The full scoop.

This may be your last chance to experience cupcake-themed whimsy at the Abu Dhabi Cultural Foundation, which ends on 31 August. Cakes and Sprinkles is a limited-time pop-up pop-art pastry shop serving cakes, coffee, ice cream and viewing stunning creations from 25 Emirati artists themed around “The Love of Sweets”. There are also some really fun interactive installations and entertainment areas that look perfect for a family outing.

Brand new and straightforward, Al Forsan International Sports Resort has just launched a shiny collection of six new indoor climate-controlled cricket pitches to join their existing outdoor pitches. It’s the racquet sport that the whole world is crazy about right now, with doubles inside the net and “a squash-like twist” on the playable area. On-site, you’ll find comfortable changing rooms, delicious menus, and well-stocked retail outlets. While there are now several cricket pitches scattered around Abu Dhabi, few places have a) the amount of b) indoors and c) the luxury seen at Al Forsan International Sports Resort.
