A Tale of Two Iftars

During Ramadan, Yas Island Rotana offers unforgettable Iftar experiences from Choices and Rangoli restaurants. The two restaurants will come together to celebrate global cuisines by offering guests a variety of delicious dishes. After a day of contemplation, a grand Iftar feast featuring a traditional Tandoori BBQ and Ramadan-style drinks is a great place to gather with your closest ones. Dishes served at live cooking stations include popular ouzi, samosa chaat and shawarma, while for main courses guests can enjoy Lamb harees, biriyanis and chicken saloona.

Feeling low on energy? Head to the Iridium Spa, where you can enjoy a 90-minute authentic and ancient Moroccan Tekmida ritual. Following the spa’s signature “Tekmida” treatment, the treatment begins with a detoxifying and cleansing body scrub to remove all toxins and dead skin cells. Essentially, hot towels will be used to relieve tension, relieve muscle pain and restore circulation in the body. This therapy is very suitable for fasting people. Shangri-La’s Ramadan Village brings the magical spirit of Ramadan to the resort’s sparkling poolside, open throughout the month of Ramadan. Set against the perfect backdrop of stark Arabic architecture and stunning creek views, this is the perfect place to gather with family and friends after sunset. There is a minimum spend of AED 100 for a standard seat and can be used towards a range of seasonal food stations, fresh juice bar or specialty coffee cart. From March 23rd to 30th, acclaimed Chef Greg Malouf will helm the Ramadan Village menu, bringing his passion for regional cuisine into a menu that combines ancient traditions with modern twists.
