November 5 (Unified User Interface) – At least 13 people were killed on Saturday night after a fire broke out at a nightclub in the Russian city of Kostroma, causing the roof to collapse.

Earlier reports that the discovery of 15 bodies in a charred Polygon nightclub had been exaggerated, Russian news agency TASS reported.

The exact number of people inside the club at the time is unknown, although 250 people were evacuated from the building and at least five were taken to hospital with various injuries.

Rescuers said the fire took five hours to put out and engulfed an area of ​​37,600 square feet.
