want to have a happy vacation from now on walt disney world? Well, whether it’s your first time or (how it feels) the first time in foreverI give procession My top tips might come in handy before or during your stay.
Since my first visit to Walt Disney World in 1993 – just three months before my third visit Birthday— I have been lucky enough to have visited the park with them many times family and friends.
Of course, living just a few hours from South Florida and having Florida Resident Annual Pass Makes traveling so much easier over the years. As an adult, I continue to enjoy the park, although not as often as I did when I was younger, but I do have Disney Pixie Dust Pass (Annual passes sometimes make more sense than buying standard theme park tickets.) And each trip is as memorable as the last.
With exciting attractions, holiday festivities and festivals throughout the year, Walt Disney World is a vacation destination for guests of all ages. Before creating your own magical memories at the park, here are some helpful tips…
15 Walt Disney World Tips
1. Order in advance
If you have a particular restaurant in mind, I recommend you make a reservation before your visit.Guests can book up to 60 days in advance. If you can’t get it online, don’t give up! Once in the park, you can stop by your desired dining location to see if there are any available that day.
2. No car?no problem
Free transportation is available around the Walt Disney World Resort. Guests staying at the hotel have access to bus, boat and monorail services. There is also a Skyliner that travels to a select number of resorts and between Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot.
3. Take Advantage of Disney Resort Perks
There are other perks to staying at a Disney hotel besides using the free shuttle bus to and from the theme parks. Individuals who own a car and stay at a Disney resort enjoy free standard parking in the park in addition to early access to the theme park.guests in Disney Resort hotels and other select hotels You can enter the park 30 minutes before opening!
4. Redeem Points for Disney Resorts
Travelers can use Marriott points to book stays walt disney world swan and Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort.
5. Download the My Disney Experience app
Before heading to the park, I recommend downloading My Disney Experience App. The app is useful both in and out of the park. The app lets you check in to your Disney hotel, unlock your Disney resort hotel room, and check park hours and attraction wait times, all within the app.

6. Watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks outside the park
Guests don’t need to be in the Magic Kingdom to watch the park’s nightly fireworks displays. The nighttime spectacle can be seen at the California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. This music As the fireworks light up the sky, the music played in the park also plays in the restaurant. If you dined at California Grill earlier in the day, you can come back in the evening to watch the fireworks as long as you have your receipt.
7. Unlikely places to watch Magic Kingdom fireworks
Sometimes trying to find a spot to watch the fireworks in front of Cinderella Castle can get confusing with the crowds. If you can’t find it at the front, the back of the castle is an option. In the past, I’ve seen the amazing sight of “Happily Ever After” in front of Be Our Guest Restaurant in Fantasyland. Of course, we couldn’t see the projection on the castle, but the fireworks were spectacular.
8. Get a “Celebrate” button
Let everyone at Disney World know you’re celebrating with a free button! Buttons commemorating birthdays, anniversaries, first visits or special occasions may be requested at your Disney hotel or park guest relations, subject to availability.
9. Solo riding saves time
If you don’t mind being separated from your party, riding a solo rider is an alternative to the long lines. Hollywood Studios’ Rock Coaster and EPCOT’s Test Track both offer solo queuing. Every time I’ve used it, it’s gone in no time!
10. Get up early with virtual queues
Guardians of the Galaxy: EPCOT’s Universe Rewind has no fixed waiting queue. The only way to ride the thrill attraction is to purchase Lighting Lane or join the virtual queue. You can try joining the virtual queue starting at 7am on the day you visit the park birds get worms early bird In this case the galaxy can be saved! I recommend setting your alarm for 6:58am so you can turn on your mobile device and join the queue when the time comes.
The second virtual queue opens at 1pm Same as Cosmic Rewind, guests need to join the virtual queue or purchase Lighting Lane of TRON Lightcycle/Run, the queue starts at April 4th of 2023.

11. Lightning Channels Are Worth It
Gone are the days when Disney offered free fast passes. Now, guests have the option to purchase the Disney Elf+ service, which offers some light passages. Additional Lightning channels can be purchased separately. I will say that Lightning Lane was 100% worth it for me when I took Cosmic Rewind – especially if you didn’t join the virtual queue in time or missed the boarding group because you weren’t at the park yet (yeah , that happened to me once). With the TRON Lightcycle/Run coming in 2023, buying a Lightning Lane is a surefire way to ensure you experience an exciting new attraction.
12. Order ahead
Instead of waiting in line at a dine-in location to order food and drinks, save some time (you’ll need it for your ride!) and place your mobile order in the My Disney Experience app. Simply order and pay in the app, then pick up your food when it’s ready.
13. Disney Provides Disability Services (DAS)
Disney has a Disability Access Service (DAS) program that allows guests who “have an unbearable long wait in a traditional queuing environment due to a disability” to choose a return-time ride and access Lightning Lane at their time.Every disneyeligible guests may pre-register “as soon as 30 days prior to a park visit, but no less than two days prior to arrival”.
14. Line up for rides before the park closes
While parks may be closed, rides will still be available to tourists already in line for attractions. Make sure to line up before the park’s scheduled closure.
15. Try to avoid summer, but if you can’t, stay hydrated
My top tip is to avoid summer because if you’re anything like me, you’ll feel like Olaf melts In the summerHowever, summer is understandably a convenient time, perhaps even the only time for a family to travel with kids after school and in class. So if you’re heading to Walt Disney World in the summer, be sure to dress appropriately for the warmer weather.you may also want to bring sunscreen and a water bottle You can refill during the day and know that you can ask for a glass of water and ice at a park dining location – for free!
