Abu Dhabi: Two United Arab Emirates (UAE) chefs – a Filipino and a Syrian – and a Pakistani housewife won AED 100,000 (Rs 22,49,279 Rs) in the 97th Mahzooz Weekly Draw ) of the grand prize.
In the weekly live draw on Saturday 8 October 2022, the draw winners Lourans Alnajjad, Carrol Tan Cesar and Sehrish Javaid matched five of the six winning numbers.
Syrian chef Lourans Alnajjad, 43, has lived and worked in Dubai for the past 20 years. He reportedly buys one or more bottles of Mahzooz water on a regular basis whenever he can afford it.
He said he plans to live in his own home and start his own business in the UAE.
Filipino expat Carrol Tan Cesar, 43, works as a chef in the UAE. She has lived in the UAE for the past 12 years. Carol’s goal is to build a house in the Philippines, pay off her debts, and save some money for her son.
Sehrish Javaid, 26, who arrived from Pakistan two months ago to reunite with her husband in the UAE, said: “This is the first time I have won such a sizable prize and I would like to thank Mahzooz for the surprise.”
“I’m going to use this money to finish my PhD in chemistry and save my family some money,” Sehrish told Mahrooz.
The next Mahzooz live draw will take place on Saturday 15th October at 9pm (UAE time).Participants can register on the Mahzooz app and website And buy a bottle of water for AED 35 (Rs 786).
