2:22 Writer Danny Robbins brings paranormal podcast Uncanny to TV

Danny Robins, author of the popular West End show 2:22, is bringing his paranormal podcast Strange to TV with the BBC Two series.

Robbins is known for his creepy podcasts, including The Battersea Poltergeist and The Witch Farm, as well as theater productions 2:22 – A ghost story.

His popular BBC Radio 4 and BBC Sounds podcast Uncanny features seemingly paranormal encounters, claiming that skeptic Robbins investigates with the help of paranormal and scientific experts.

The three-episode BBC Two TV series will tell true stories of supernatural encounters told by people who happen to meet, as experts try to find any possible logical explanation.

Robbins said: “I was blown away by the incredible response. We built an incredible community around the show, many of whom never realized how interested they were in the paranormal!

“I’m absolutely delighted to have the opportunity to continue the podcast and make it into a TV show, because we’re exploring all the biggest questions – ‘do ghosts exist’? I promise it’s going to be both scary and fascinating – so, dare you watch it?”

Meanwhile, Robbins’ West End drama 2:22 recently welcomed a new cast of stars, including Cheryl in her first theatrical role and Jack Wood, who appears in the original 2021 cast.

The celebrity-studded show previously featured Laura Whitmore, Giovanna Fletcher, Mandip Gill, Matt Willis, Tom Felton, Lily Allen, James Buckley and Stephanie Beatrice.
