Gregory Itzin dies at 74.
The actor – best known for his roles as President Charles Logan on Fox’s “24” and Agent Virgil Minelli on “The Psychiatrist” – was arrested on Friday (07/08/22) for his role during emergency surgery Complications died, his representatives confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter.
24 executive producer Jon Casa was the first to pay tribute to him as he remembered his friend and described him as “one of the most talented people” he’s worked with.
He tweeted: “My friend Greg Izin passed away today. He was one of the most talented actors I’ve had the pleasure of working with, but more importantly, an all-around good guy. His 24 family will miss him with only love and respect for him. You left your mark, now rest in peace my friend” (sic)
Gregory is survived by his wife Judy Izin (with whom he has been married since 1979) and their two children, Wilke, 39, and Julia, 36, both of whom are also in show business opened up a career.
Following his father’s death, Wilke wrote on Instagram: “It is with a very heavy heart that I announce the passing of my father, Gregory Martin Itzin.
“I will never feel like we have enough time together. I love you and I really don’t know what I would have done without you. You are loved by everyone and we will miss you so much. Bittersweet, but I It’s a pleasure to spend these last days together.” (sic)
During his career, Gregor Rory also played the role of Theodore Hannigan repeatedly in the final two seasons of the mammoth sitcom Friends, and in 2007 with Lindsay Lohan in the thriller “Friends” I Know Who Killed Me,” and starred in his final role on screen. Appeared in an episode of the medical drama “Resident Doctor” back in 2019.
