Have you ever walked around a metropolitan area and marveled at all the crazy tall buildings around you? There is something so magnificent about skyscrapers that when they tower over a skyscraper they seem to defy all the laws of gravity and logic City.
Once upon a time, the Empire State Building in New York City was the tallest building in the world. Including the topmost antenna, the skyscraper is 1,454 feet tall. But after the completion of the original World Trade Center Twin Towers in 1972, the Empire State Building was eliminated.Sadly, those towers collapsed in September 11, 2001– But in the past four years, so many supertall buildings have popped up around the world that the Empire State Building is no longer even on the list of the 50 tallest buildings in the world!
