30 Emirati selected to redesign 10 parks in Dubai-News

The Dubai brand and the Dubai Municipality stated that the selected participants included 10 architects, 10 interior designers and 10 event planners

The authorities announced on Sunday that as part of the reconstruction project, a total of 10 parks in Dubai will be redesigned.

The Dubai Media Office (GDMO) and Dubai Brand, the creative department of the Dubai Municipal Government, also announced that they have selected 30 people from the creative community in the UAE to participate in the project. Participants were selected after evaluating more than 100 conceptual design proposals for public park elements and community activities submitted by the community.

When revealing details at an event, the Dubai brand and the Dubai Municipal Government stated that the selected participants included 10 architects, 10 interior designers and 10 event planners, most of whom were recent graduates and young professionals​​士. Participants are selected based on their work portfolio and resume.

Park 2 located in Al Mizhar 1, Muhaisnah 3, Al Barsha 2, Al Quoz 1, Al Warqa’a 2, Nad Al Sheba 4, Al Twar 3, Oud Al Muteena 2, Al Warqa’a 4 and Umm Suqeim residential areas Redesign as part of the project. In addition to the concept of community activities, the new park design will also cover city seating, children’s playground, jogging track, landscape and other elements of the park.

The Dubai brand and the Dubai Municipality recently invited the participation of UAE creatives, design and event professionals to promote community participation in the redevelopment of the park. The invited design can combine environmentally friendly materials and innovative modern construction methods to revitalize the park and help attract more visitors.

The joint project is part of Dubai’s commitment to transform itself into the world’s most liveable city, and was announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of Dubai earlier this year City master plan for Dubai 2040. The rulers of the UAE and Dubai set a roadmap for sustainable urban development in the emirate.
