The Metaverse Conference in Dubai will open today (September 28) to explore the opportunities, capabilities and applications of Metaverse.
The two-day event at the Emirates Towers Museum of the Future and AREA 2071 in Dubai supports the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, in Technology and Innovation One Bringing positive change to humanity, said a statement.
Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, Deputy Chairman of the Board and Managing Director of Dubai Future Foundation (DFF), affirmed that the global campaign aims to help governments, technology companies and international organisations explore the metaverse.
“The Dubai Metaverse Strategy, initiated by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of the Executive Committee and Chairman of the DFF Board of Directors, represents a leading and innovative model for the government to implement initiatives As well as strategies for adopting technology and future innovations, developing digital and legislative infrastructure and supporting Metaverse-based innovative ideas,” said Al Gergawi.
“The Metaverse Conference Dubai will contribute to international efforts aimed at leveraging Metaverse applications. It will help improve the preparation of governments, companies and society for the major changes we will witness in the coming decades that will impact us way of living and working,” added Al Gergawi.
