Abu Dhabi, UAE: 42 Abu Dhabi Coding School, an innovative and disruptive coding school in the UAE capital, is developing and elevating the Emirate’s youth in the field of coding as part of its leading position as a talent incubator, offering a unique peer-to-peer, gaming We will continue to develop students’ creativity and innovation through an integrated approach to learning, enabling them to develop projects that create valuable solutions that benefit the wider UAE community and drive its digital future.

42 Students in Abu Dhabi developed a project featuring an artificial intelligence machine learning model that can predict the onset of chronic kidney disease. In recognition of the project’s success, 42 Abu Dhabi students came first when they presented their projects at the HealAthon. HealAthon, a UAE-based healthcare analytics bootcamp dedicated to using technology to solve healthcare challenges, was organized by UAE-based Edtech startup Airtics Education in partnership with Coders HQ and attended by 42 Abu Dhabi students. The project benefits many stakeholders, including patients at high risk for chronic kidney disease, as well as physicians who can use the model to facilitate timely referral and treatment of patients. It also supports the healthcare system by reducing the costs associated with late diagnosis of progressive chronic kidney disease.

Also, one of the most innovative projects developed by 42 emerging Abu Dhabi coders is a real-time sign language translation mobile application. The app aims to bridge the communication gap that currently exists between sign language users and those without extensive sign language knowledge. The app allows users to capture real-time video of deaf people sign language through their mobile phone cameras and can translate it into English text. The application targets people who use American Sign Language (ASL), providing them with a platform to facilitate communication and an end-user solution that integrates all existing research and implements real-time translation services to interpret conversations.

In line with the school’s efforts to prepare the next generation of creators and innovators, 42 Abu Dhabi students have also developed the Talent Hub platform, which allows recruiters to screen candidates by recording themselves while answering interview questions. The platform aims to increase efficiency by allowing recruiters to screen multiple candidates at the same time.

Marcos Muller Habig, Acting CEO of 42 Abu Dhabi, said: “42 Abu Dhabi remains firmly committed to creating a culture of innovation and encourages its students to be catalysts for change to lead the UAE’s digital transformation.
