Sunday saw another action-packed show at the 2022 Saudi Games:
Indoor rowing
The men’s group was held at the Institute for Leadership Development at the King Faisal bin Fahd Olympic Complex, with Rakan Ali Reda winning gold, Imad Youssef silver and Hassan Qadri bronze.
In the women’s category, Kariman Abu Aljadayel took the gold medal, Emma Merrick took the silver and Haya Almami took the bronze.
Prince Fahd bin Jarawi bin Abdulaziz bin Mossad, Vice-President of the Saudi Olympic Committee and Director of the Saudi Games, presented the medals to the athletes, and Abdul Abdul, Assistant Minister of Sports of the Saudi Ministry Le Aziz Beshin also congratulated the athletes of the sport, as well as Saudi Rowing Federation President Husein Alireza.
weightlifting
Two medal competitions were held at the club’s main stadium in Riyadh – the first in the women’s 81kg category, won by Dalal Al-Momin for a total of 145kg. Hanan Bagas took silver (141kg), followed by Wafa Gumra with bronze (124kg).
In the men’s +102kg category, Hassan Radi took first place after lifting the 362kg category and Ali Hazar took the silver medal in the 360kg category. Hussain Al-Mahar took bronze with 326kg.
The medals were presented to the winners by Mohamed Ahmad Alharbi, President of the Saudi Arabian Weightlifting Federation and member of the International Weightlifting Federation, and Adwa Al-Arifi and Ali Dhafir Hakami, Deputy Ministers of Planning and Development, Ministry of Sports, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Arabian Weightlifting Federation.

In another full day of swimming heats and medals at the SAOC complex, the men’s 200m freestyle gold was won by Alexandre Younes in a time of 1:54.89. Second was Ahmed Ali Al-Hashim (1:58.60) and third was Zaid Al-Sarraj (2:00.57).
In the men’s 50m backstroke, Mohammad Boxmati won gold in 27.47 seconds – his second medal at the Saudi Games after winning silver on Saturday. The silver went to Ammar Al-Humaid (28.96) and the bronze went to Patrik Zemek (29.23).
The third final at the SAOC complex was the men’s 200m breaststroke, in which Yusuf won in 2:27.79. Mohammed Al-Otaibi took silver (2:33.56), while Hashim Ridha Al-Alawi took bronze in 2:36.57.
The men’s 100m butterfly was won by Natheer Al-Hamoud with a time of 56.51 seconds, while Ali Mohammed Al-Yousef (59.31) was second. Rory Romrad took bronze in a time of 1:00.47.
The winners were presented with medals by Ahmed Al-Kudmani, President of the Saudi Arabian Swimming Federation, Abdullah Al-Yami, Executive Director of the Saudi Arabian Swimming Federation, and Dr. Gasim Basel Alzuhair, Vice President of the Saudi Arabian Swimming Federation.

The women’s basketball group stage at the Al-Hilal main court produced the following results:

Five group matches were played at the SAOC complex on Sunday.
In the women’s division, Al-Hilal beat Al-Etihad 3-0, while Al-Eitifaq also beat Al-Faisali 3-0. In the end, Alanka defeated Al-Taraje 3-0.
In the men’s group stage, the Etihad defeated Faisali 3-0. Meanwhile, Ibtsam won the match with a 3-2 victory over Al-Taraje.

3×3 basketball
The 3×3 basketball game ended on Sunday in the 2022 Saudi Games fan zone, with Al-Nasser winning the gold medal by beating Al-Hilal 16-12 in the final.
In the bronze medal match, Ohod defeated Al-Fateh 16-13.
The President of the Saudi Basketball Federation, Dr. Ghassan bin Yousef Tashkandi, presented the medal to the winner. Also present were Saudi Basketball Federation board member Mohammad Zain and Saudi Basketball Federation executive director Abdullah bin Shouyir.
Disabled table tennis
Riyadh’s Mohammed Hussein Al-Harbi beat Jeddah’s Saleh Hamed Al-Ghamdi in a thrilling final to claim the gold medal at the Para table tennis competition at the King Faisal bin Fahd Olympic Stadium. Faris Al-Balawi of Tabuk took bronze.
The winners are congratulated by Dr. Abdullah Albar, Chairman of the Saudi Table Tennis Federation; Khalid bin Salem Al-Mutairi, Board Member and Hatoon bint Saad Al-Sadhan, Executive Director.

Men’s gold medalist Abdulrahman Abdulwahab, Ammar Yasser took silver and Mohammed bin Sultan Al-Saud took bronze in the match at the King Faisal bin Fahd Olympic Complex Bowling Centre.
In the women’s category, Irene Nestor Tomolva took first, Hadeel Abdelmoein second and Rachel Tolentino third.
The winners were presented with medals by Abdulaziz Massad, Deputy Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, Ministry of Sports; Abdulmalik bin Abdulaziz Al-Shathri, President of the Saudi Bowling Federation; and Moaidh Al-Qahtani, Vice-President of the Saudi Bowling Federation.
The 2022 Saudi Games continued on Monday with billiards, futsal, rhythmic gymnastics, handball, Muay Thai, para table tennis, swimming, tennis, beach volleyball, volleyball and wrestling.
