The original 2002 film, a semi-autobiographical account of Eminem’s life, has attracted a cult audience in the 20 years since its release.

Now 50 Cent – real name Curtis Jackson – has announced plans to bring it back in a longer format.
rapper and producer behind the pop strength The franchise, has confirmed that Eminem – real name Marshall Mathers III – is also on the project.
Speaking on BigBoy TV, Jackson explained: “I want to bring, I’m going to bring, 8 miles to the TV. It’s going to be big. I’m working. I don’t have any duds. I’m hitting 100. I think it should be there [Eminem’s] Legacy because they understand it’s important to me.
“I think his legacy should be there because if you can’t see it … what’s important to me is that they understand it, you know what I mean?”

In the original film, Eminem stars alongside Brittany Murphy, Kim Basinger, Mekhi Phifer and Anthony Mackie as B-Rabbit, a would-be rapper struggling to make ends meet in Detroit, Michigan.
He worked at a car factory during the day and lived in a trailer park with his mom and sister.
In real life, following his own success, Eminem would go on to launch Shady Records, with Jackson being one of his first major signings.
Jackson never forgot the opportunities Eminem gave him, and his work as 50 Cent and as a TV producer made him a multi-millionaire success story.

In 2022, the duo reunited on the international stage for the Super Bowl Halftime Show with Dr Dre.
“I have so much value to him, not just in my career, but in my life,” Jackson told music selection Year 2014. “He’s one of my best friends because I trust him to be honest and offer constructive criticism.”
