The Grand Jumeirah Mosque was first opened in 1979 by Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, father of the late Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, ruler of Dubai gift from Tom. The Sheikh Zayed Mosque is the vision of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founding father of the UAE. Its open door policy welcomes tourists from all over the world and as many as 50,000 devotees per day.

Al Noor Mosque, Sharjah

Al Noor Mosque, the only mosque in Sharjah open to non-Muslims, offers free one-hour tours every Monday and Thursday at 10am. Dominating the emirate’s skyline and overlooking the Khalid Lagoon, the mosque features a classic Ottoman design with 34 domes and intricate verses from the Koran etched inside.As a popular tourist destination, the mosque offers free traditional Emirati clothing upon entry, along with Arabic coffee or Jiahua.

Al Bidya Mosque, Fujairah

On the road between Dibba and Khorfakkan lies the oldest surviving mosque in the UAE: Al Bidya Mosque.Built of mud and stone, this ancient religious building is still used and recognized today unesco world heritage Because of its unique architecture, with four domes instead of one, and archaeological carvings. The small prayer room can accommodate up to 70 people.

Iranian Mosque, Dubai

Not too many people know about this beautiful mosque, but you might be lucky enough to stumble upon it while wandering the area near the textile market. Also known as the Ali ibn Abi Talib Mosque, the building is decorated with delicate blue tiles. It is one of two ornately decorated Iranian mosques in Dubai, the other being Imam Hussein Mosque in Satwa.
