Here are some of the benefits of the Golden Visa, including that you can sponsor yourself:

– Renewable every 10 years.
– Length of stay outside the UAE will not invalidate the Golden Residence. Generally, staying outside the UAE for more than six months will invalidate the residence visa.
– No sponsor or employer required.
– Residence of family members, including spouse and children, without age limit.
– There is no upper limit on the number of domestic helpers that can be subsidized.
– If the original holder of the Golden Residence dies, family members can stay in the UAE until the residence permit expires.
– A special multiple entry visa valid for six months will be provided to allow applicants to come to the UAE to complete the golden visa application process.

You can also get a five-year tourist visa to the UAE without a sponsor. However, you will need to provide a copy of your health insurance valid in the UAE during your stay and a copy of your bank statement with a balance of at least USD 4,000 (Dh14,692) or the equivalent in foreign currency for the past six months.
