Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Ministry of Justice achieved a growth rate of more than 80% in the number of corporate contracts certified by the Abu Dhabi Notary Office. During 2022, it registered about 17,800 partnership contracts, compared with 9,800 in 2021.
Counselor Yousef Saeed Al Abri, Deputy Minister of Justice of Abu Dhabi, affirmed the department’s willingness to expedite transactions and benefit from artificial intelligence as directed by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court and Abu Dhabi Judiciary department chairman.
Al Abri said the achievement demonstrates that the sector’s technological systems related to notary services and digital certification can complete transactions remotely. The department said it has successfully exchanged data with a number of relevant authorities and strategic partners, which facilitates the completion of various types of transactions with less time and effort with minimal attachments, in addition to supporting the transition to digital documents.
The department was able to complete 251,098 transactions remotely through notaries in 2022, in addition to providing as many as 1,244,621 digital documents instead of printed documents.
