Sophy asked Yohan if his parents wanted grandchildren, and Yohan said yes. She then pointed out that while he was 32, Danielle was 42, so the pregnancy was more complicated for her. In fact, Yohan and Daniele have been trying to conceive for a year without success. They visited a fertility specialist who said her chances of conceiving naturally were 5 percent, but Yohan didn’t think the odds were that low. When asked what would happen if they were infertile, Yohan replied, “I don’t feel very good about it, but my gut tells me yes, it’s possible.” She gets frustrated every time she harbors false hopes of pregnancy.
Sophie then asked John if he had any other children, to which he said he was sure not. But he did reveal that he had previously impregnated women and had abortions.
“It’s happened before, but, some people got pregnant and it didn’t happen,” he said. “Some people get away with it on purpose.”
Danielle was shocked, saying John told her his partner had lost a child but no one had ever had an abortion. She was angry that John lied to her.
“I’m not sad because of the abortion, I’m sad because Yohan was dishonest with me, my total trust in this relationship is about my trust in him and his honesty, if I lose then what do we do? Have?” she pointed.
The next day, Daniele confronted Yohan about why he didn’t tell her about the abortion. He doesn’t even remember not telling her, and doesn’t think it’s a big deal.
“I’ve been with a lot of women and one of them got pregnant,” he told the camera. “But the past is not necessarily your current relationship, so whether she has an abortion or not, it has nothing to do with her.”
Although Yohan insists to Daniele that he did tell her “everything”, she disagrees.
“I can’t trust you if you don’t tell the truth,” she told him. “My problem is not your past, my problem is that you are a liar.”
Danielle broke down in tears as she explained that her ex had lied to her in the past, which included an entire separate family she didn’t know about.
“For me, once trust is broken, it’s broken forever,” she said, noting that she has zero tolerance for dishonesty.
Later, Danielle cried again as they continued to argue about whether he told her the truth. John went on to tell her that, to him, there was no difference between a woman who told her she had lost a child and a woman who told her she had an abortion.
“It felt like I was dealing with a child,” she told the camera, adding that she was upset he wasn’t taking responsibility for his dishonesty. “When he gets to a place where he’s defending, it’s like the conversation is going nowhere.”
As far as John was concerned, enough was enough. “If you don’t trust me, that’s your problem,” he told her.
Danielle responded to the camera, “I feel like if my husband sees me crying, it’s like a brick wall and obviously doesn’t have any sympathy for me, it makes me nervous because I’m going to get this kind of support from me for a long time husband.”
But John was unimpressed and asked her outright what she wanted to do with the relationship. He said that if she felt that he was a liar and a toxic person, then she should end this. Danielle said she didn’t know what to say, so she went back to the hotel alone. She told the camera she doesn’t know if he will now “disappear” and end the marriage.
“I really want a baby and I really want to be with him because I believe in who he is,” she said, breaking down in tears. “If that’s not who he really is, then why am I fighting?”
