Abu Dhabi [UAE]July 3 (ANI/WAM): The annual Global Media Conference (GMC) in Abu Dhabi brings together key stakeholders and provides a unique platform to discuss our Some of the most pressing challenges of our time.
The comments by Eliana Zugaib, charge d’affaires ad interim of the Brazilian embassy in Abu Dhabi, come as preparations are underway for the second Global Media Congress, which will be held under Vice President Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Held under the patronage of His Highness Ranahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidency.
This prestigious international conference and exhibition in the media sector is organized by ADNEC Group in partnership with Emirates News Agency (WAM) and will be held at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center – ADNEC from 14th to 16th November 2023.
What to expect from the second edition of the GMC
The Brazilian envoy has high hopes for the upcoming GMC.
“We believe that the 2nd Global Media Congress will provide media professionals around the world with an excellent opportunity to strengthen existing partnerships and foster new ones,” Zugeb emphasized.
She believes that the existing cooperation between Brazil and the UAE in the field of media helps to strengthen mutual understanding between the peoples of the two countries.
The Envoy explained that the existing partnership between Brazilian media organizations and WAM is an important factor in promoting mutual cooperation and partnerships between some of the most influential stakeholders in Brazil and the UAE.
“They may help increase mutual understanding between our country and our people.”
Strengthen media cooperation
Zugeb was referring to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that WAM has signed with several Brazilian media organizations.
One such memorandum of understanding was signed with Grupo Bandeirantes, one of the largest television companies and networks in Latin America, during Expo 2020 Dubai in December 2021.
Later in March 2022, WAM signed further MoUs at the Expo with Brazilian media such as Folha de S. Paulo (newspaper), Folhapress (Brazilian news agency) UOL-Universo Online (website).
The MoU encourages professional media cooperation between WAM and Brazilian media agencies to exchange news and media content and create sustainable partnerships.
Brazil attends inaugural GMC
Brazil is present at the inaugural Global Media Conference in Abu Dhabi in November 2022 on the theme “Shaping the Future of the Media Industry”.
The global event included exhibitions and more than 30 debates and seminars, featuring more than 162 world-renowned speakers and attracting more than 13,656 visitors.
The event was attended by more than 192 media organizations from 42 countries, and more than 1,200 media experts and influencers from six continents around the world. (ANI/WAM)
