Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum was announced on Saturday as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance.
On Sunday, Sheikh Maktoum shared photos of his meeting with the team.
He paid tribute to his predecessor, the late Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who was the longest-serving finance minister in the world. In March of this year, he passed away.
Sheikh Maktoum praised the late Sheikh Hamdan for his contribution in building a national financial institution.
He also thanked Obaid Al Tayer, Minister of State for Fiscal Affairs.
His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President, approved a new federal government cabinet on Saturday.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, also announced a new government strategic policy that “will lay the foundation for work in the next 50 years.”
The new cabinet appointed Mohamed Hadi Husseini as Minister of State for Financial Affairs; Abdullah bin Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi as Minister of Justice; and Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar as Minister of Human Resources and the Emirates.
Mariam Almheiri has been appointed Minister of Climate Change and Environment and will continue to oversee food and water safety documents, while Abdullah Muhair Al Ketbi has been appointed Minister of Affairs of the Federal Supreme Council.
