A whole weekend of events hosted by Northstar California
Start your weekend off with Northstar California’s Summer Music Series every Friday and Saturday through Sunday, September 3rd during the summer.
This free event will be held at Roller Rink in the Village State and will feature a different DJ on Friday and a different band on Saturday.
The fun continues with the Friday Juicy Brain Trivia event from 6pm to 9pm until September 1st.
A DJ and live Q&A will host bingo on the country stage, and guests will take part in an incredible test of knowledge, expertise and roller disco skills.
The theme for Friday 7 July is Red, White + Blue.
End your weekend at the Dark Skies Cosmoarium, where guests can gather for stargazing and galaxy viewing with renowned sky guide and poet Tony Berendsen.
Gates to the Cosmos Aquarium will open Thursday and Saturday at 8:15pm and close at 10:30pm
The cost is between $10 and $45, depending on the type of tour you want to take.

Events in the Palisades Tahoe all weekend long
The Palisades Tahoe will be hosting several events throughout the weekend, starting with a Washoe Cultural Tour on Friday, July 7th at 10am.
Experience the mountain through the eyes of the Washio people in this free lecture.
The presentation will begin at 9:15 am with an aerial tram ride and will take place at High Camp, where guests will hear the story of the Washoe Tribe from its founding to the present day.
Additionally, guests can view artifacts that showcase the Washoe way of life that tribe members strive to preserve today.
While this event is free, registration is strongly encouraged. If you are not an Ikon Pass holder for 2022/23, you will need to purchase an aerial lift ticket to join, discounted for tour participants. All ticket sales collected at the event will be donated to the Washoe Cultural Fund.
Walk-ins are permitted, but only if there is room to join.
The fun continues with the live music series at Sunset Village on Friday, July 7th from 5-7pm.
Join friends and family this summer for free listening to music and relaxing with live music in the Palisades every Friday for free.
This coming Friday will be performed by Peter DeMattei, the following Friday by Ben Fuller and next week by Honey Vixen.

Ryan Reichard works at Alibi Ale Works
Ryan Reichard will perform at the Alibi Ale Works Truckee Public House on Saturday, July 8th at 7pm.
Reichardt is known for his solo, acoustic performances covering a variety of rock songs old and new. His voice is melodic and funky.
This free show is open to everyone, so be sure to grab a drink, enjoy the music, and create hardcore memories with your favorite people.

Music in the Castle: Subra’s Serenade
On Saturday, July 8th at 4:45pm, the Vikingsholm Courtyard in Emerald Bay State Park hosts an evening reception with live music, bar and light appetizers.
Subra Doyle is scented throughout the evening, and guests can have fun at the bar and reception in one of Lake Tahoe’s most beautiful venues.
Tickets are $60 per person and include a fantastic drive to see the beauty of Emerald Bay.
Seating is limited to 30 guests and advance reservations are required. Parking fees are included in the admission price.

Tahoe Blue Art Exhibition Opening Reception
Join Piper J Gallery in Truckee on Saturday, July 8 at 5pm for the opening reception of their July exhibition featuring Lisa Jefferson, Michelle Courier Courier and Tom Carter’s Lake Tahoe artwork.
This event is free to attend. The exhibit will feature a variety of original works inspired by the color and clarity of Lake Tahoe.

Music in the Park at Truckee River Regional Park
The Truckee Donner Recreational Park District is proud to present the “Music in the Park” series, a community gathering full of great music every Wednesday starting at 6:30pm on Wednesday, July 12th and running through August 30th Wednesday.
The shows, which will be held at the “Salty” Gebhardt Amphitheater in the Truckee area, will feature Down the Rabbit Hole this week, Everyday Outlaw the following week, and Tessa Lark and Michael Thurber two weeks later.
Attendance at these gigs is free, but donations are welcome. No smoking or dogs, children must be supervised at all times.
Picnics are welcome, but please leave the glass at home.
