An animal kingdom
The 116-hectare park has approximately 3,000 animals, including 78 mammals-10 different carnivores and 17 primates-50 reptiles; 111 bird species as well as amphibians and invertebrates .
Dubai Safari Park is the location of the world’s first drive-through crocodile exhibition; the largest baboon group in the UAE; the largest drive-through lion exhibition; and the country’s only drive-through hippo and tiger exhibition.
What’s new this season?
The park will provide a behind-the-scenes experience for the first time. This allows visitors to get close to animals, learn about their habitat and the way to care for them-all under the careful guidance of animal shepherds.
New animals in the reserve include squirrel monkeys, mona monkeys, Arabian wolves and northern white-cheeked gibbons. In addition, there are 111 newborns of different animal species in the park.
In the winter, the park will host a leopard exhibition, a bird exhibition, and show “the world’s magical creatures” and birds of prey.
The area dedicated to breeding Arabian wolves has been expanded by 10,000 square meters. The area has many local trees and plants, in addition to unique sand dunes and water bodies, which were developed to create a suitable environment for these animals. The area is considered to be the largest island sheltering Arabian wolves.
