5,000 new healthcare jobs for UAE nationals

The Abu Dhabi Department of Health (DoH), the healthcare sector regulator in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, has set an “Emirateization” target ‘Tawteen’ for all healthcare facilities operating in Abu Dhabi, aiming to create 5,000 new jobs for UAE nationals opportunity until the end of the year. 2025.

The Ministry of Health has called on all healthcare institutions in the emirate to work towards these goals by retaining and increasing the emiratization rate of their healthcare and administrative staff.

The ministry said it is working closely with healthcare providers in the emirate to increase the rate of Emiratization of medical occupations, which include doctors, paramedics and extended healthcare occupations, while administrative staff include those working in information technology, human resources, accounting, Employees working in finance and legal departments. This is in line with the Ministry of Health’s efforts to unlock opportunities for local talent and ensure their sustainability in line with the Tawteen Healthcare Workforce Agenda.

Dr Noura Khamis Al Ghaithi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, said: “At the direction of our wise leadership, Abu Dhabi’s healthcare institutions implemented the Tawteen targets to strengthen national capacity and enable them to further contribute to the healthcare system to improve It results and builds a competitive knowledge-based economy in the emirate. This is in line with the efforts of the Abu Dhabi Department of Health (DoH) in the healthcare sector to support the Tawteen initiative to retain qualified national medical professionals, further cementing Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading global The status of healthcare destinations.”

The Ministry of Health will support all agencies to achieve this goal and fully utilize the “Nafis” scheme and its platform to identify citizens seeking employment in the healthcare field.

In addition, Ghannam Al Mazrouei, Secretary-General of the UAE Council for Talent Competitiveness, commended the Ministry of Health’s efforts to increase the rate of digitization and monitor healthcare institutions to achieve Tawteen goals, in line with decisions related to the topic. This provides a supportive working environment for UAE nationals, especially those working in the healthcare industry, enabling them to fill positions in this vital sector.

He also commended the cooperation shown by various state entities in providing the means and support for the success of “NAFIS” and its different programs and initiatives, and enhancing the competitiveness of the UAE cadre. This will bring about a substantial leap forward in the different fields and sectors of the country, contributing to the realization of the goals and aspirations set by the wise leadership to consolidate and unify efforts to support and employ national talent, improve the quality of the UAE cadre and enhance their competitiveness power and increase their influence in the UAE. private sector workforce.
