Turkish Ambassador Tugay Tunçer stated that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s tour of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, including the UAE, marks Turkey’s strengthening ties with the UAE and the region. The visit will witness the signing of agreements and MoUs reflecting their joint objectives for the next decade.
The nations share a vision of promoting regional peace, stability, and prosperity, aligning on various issues. Cooperation between Türkiye and the UAE has grown significantly in the past two years, with increased non-oil trade, tourism, and investments.
The upcoming implementation of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) is expected to further boost their economic collaboration, aiming to double non-oil trade to $40 billion in the next five years.
