Dubai’s Terminal 3 welcomes Air Canada as Emirates’ partner

Air Canada’s operations in Dubai will move to Dubai International‘s (DXB) Terminal 3 on Wednesday, following an announcement by Emirates and Air Canada. This relocation aims to provide a seamless and expedited experience for customers transiting between the Americas on Air Canada and various destinations in the Middle East, Indian subcontinent, Southeast Asia, and Africa on Emirates.

Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ chief commercial officer, expressed delight in welcoming Air Canada to Terminal 3, further strengthening their strategic partnership to enhance travel experiences.

Mark Galardo, executive vice-president network and revenue planning at Air Canada, emphasized the significance of this move, underscoring the importance of their flights between the UAE and Canada. The relocation is expected to benefit mutual customers, offering streamlined operations and an elevated airport journey.

Majed Al Joker, chief operating officer of Dubai Airports, welcomed Air Canada to Terminal 3, emphasizing the shared commitment to exceptional service and guest satisfaction. Terminal 3, equipped with modern facilities such as biometric touchpoints, spacious waiting areas, and diverse dining and shopping outlets, is designed to cater to the evolving needs of modern travelers.

The first inbound Air Canada flight will arrive at Terminal 3 on Wednesday, with the first outbound flight scheduled to depart to Toronto on Thursday. Dedicated check-in counters for Air Canada Signature Class will be available, and eligible customers will have access to the Emirates business class lounge.

Emirates and Air Canada have strengthened their partnership, expanding their codeshare routes, developing reciprocal loyalty partnerships, and increasing capacity into their respective hubs. Emirates introduced a daily Boeing 777 service between Montreal and Dubai, complementing their Airbus A380 schedule between Toronto and Dubai.

On the other hand, Air Canada plans to commence non-stop four times weekly flights between Dubai and Vancouver on October 30, 2023, using their flagship Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet, alongside their existing daily service between Toronto and Dubai.
