UAE: Surge in 3-Month Visit Visa Demand

Demand for the UAE’s three-month visit visa is rising, with agents processing up to 20 applications daily. However, the 30- and 60-day options remain more popular due to pricing disparities. A 60-day visa, priced at Dh650, was introduced during the pandemic when the three-month visa was suspended.

By late May 2023, the three-month leisure visa was reintroduced, permitting a 90-day stay. There are now three single-entry visa types: 30, 60, and 90 days, as per Firoz Maliyakkal, CEO of Tahira Tours and Travel LLC.

Pavan Poojari, a visa consultant at Luxury Travels, identified groups seeking extended stays: tourists on extended vacations, parents and children of UAE residents, extended family, and those wanting to explore and settle.

For many families and travelers, one or two months in the UAE felt insufficient. The 90-day leisure visa addresses this concern, benefiting people desiring longer stays.

Matthew, who brought his family for a 3-month visit, recounted their joy at being able to spend more time. Jessy, also on a 3-month visit, relished her extended time with family, especially after a recent loss.

Eligibility for the three-month visas involves two categories. The first entails residents sponsoring immediate family and friends with a Dh1,000 deposit and a salary of Dh6,000 to Dh8,000. The second is available through travel agents, requiring only passport copies and photos.

Cost-wise, the first category is around Dh800 with a refundable Dh1,000 deposit, obtainable on official immigration websites. The second, facilitated by travel agents, ranges from Dh1,200 to Dh1,400.

The 90-day visa is a blessing for those struggling with visa extensions that require leaving the country.
