Covid-19: Abu Dhabi lowers capacity ceilings for restaurants, cafes and parks-News

Abu Dhabi local authorities have launched New capacity caps for restaurants, coffee shops, and public transportation As a strategy for the next phase of the Covid pandemic.

In a series of tweets on Thursday night, the Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Committee stated that starting Monday, the capacity of restaurants, cafes, public beaches and parks can reach up to 50%. In February, the occupancy rate is limited to 60%.

However, the ceilings for shopping malls (40%), movie theaters (30%) and private beaches, swimming pools and gyms (50%) are still similar to the previously issued orders.

The new regulations will be implemented from Monday as the six-day public holiday to celebrate Eid al-Adha.

In addition, a national sterilization plan will be launched, and Residents have been urged to stay at home from midnight to 5 am. However, people can go out by obtaining permission to operate from the Abu Dhabi police.

Earlier this week, local authorities stated that community members must take all precautions because the number of new infections and deaths has increased significantly after the past three public holidays.
