Abu Dhabi Traffic Advisory: Closure of Key Road Section for 2 Weeks

Abu Dhabi authorities have announced a significant road closure, impacting the Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed International Road (E11) in Al Dhafra. The Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) revealed that the closure will affect the right lane towards Abu Dhabi and is scheduled from December 6 (12 am) to December 30 (5 am).

Caution Advised for Motorists

Motorists are urged to exercise caution and strictly adhere to traffic rules and regulations during the two-week closure period. The closure is expected to cause disruptions, and drivers should plan alternate routes accordingly.

Partial Closure on Sheikha Salama Bint Butti Road

In addition to the E11 closure, the ITC has announced a partial road closure on Sheikha Salama Bint Butti Road (E45) in Madinat Zayed – Al Dhafra Region. This closure will be in effect from Tuesday, December 5 (10 pm) to Friday, December 8 (5 am), with the left lane towards Madinat Zayed closed for the next three days.

Traffic Management Measures

Authorities will implement traffic management measures to ensure a smooth flow of vehicles and minimize inconvenience to road users. Increased signage and notifications will be in place to guide drivers through the affected areas.

Alternative Routes and Planning

Considering the potential traffic impact, commuters are advised to explore alternative routes and plan their journeys accordingly. Staying updated on official announcements and traffic advisories is crucial to navigating the affected areas seamlessly.

Community Cooperation

The success of these traffic management efforts relies on the cooperation of the community. Motorists are encouraged to be patient, follow the guidance of traffic officials, and contribute to maintaining a safe and efficient traffic environment.

This proactive approach by Abu Dhabi authorities aims to enhance road infrastructure and safety, ultimately benefiting the overall transportation experience in the emirate.
