Abu Dhabi University and Abu Dhabi Stem Cell Center sign a memorandum of understanding to exchange healthcare knowledge

Abu Dhabi University (ADU) and Abu Dhabi Stem Cell Center (ADSCC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote both institutions through student placement, training programs, sharing of facilities and resources, and exchange of academic information in the field The connection between medicine.

Professor Waqar Ahmad, President of the University of Abu Dhabi, and Dr. Yendry Ventura, immunology expert and general manager of the Abu Dhabi Stem Cell Center, attended the virtual memorandum of understanding. According to the agreement, ADU and ADSCC will establish a cooperative relationship to increase education and outreach opportunities for students, faculty and staff. As part of the collaboration, ADU students received practical training in molecular biology and basic immunology.

The memorandum of understanding includes the exchange of advanced educational expertise through training workshops, conferences and academic programs that provide the latest developments and best practices. In addition, ADU will have access to ADSCC’s medical diagnostic laboratory, and ADU’s students and faculty will gain a broader vision in the fields of diagnostic medicine, nutrition technology and nutrition.

Dr. Yendry Ventura of ADSCC said: “From the very beginning, our goal was to strengthen local medical research capabilities to address the country’s most pressing chronic diseases. If we do not create growth opportunities for local and regional medical students, we will not be able to truly achieve this. Goals. In shaping the next generation of doctors and researchers, we are proud to establish this partnership with respected institutions such as the University of Abu Dhabi, and we look forward to working together on truly groundbreaking work.”

Founded in 2019, ADSCC is the first professional healthcare center of its kind in the United Arab Emirates, focusing on cell and regenerative medicine, such as stem cell therapy research. It was set up specifically to conduct complex research and was one of the first institutions in the world to conduct research on the patented COVID-19 treatment. It aims to meet the growing domestic and regional demand for highly specialized medical services and treatments by using the latest technology, unique medical equipment in the region, and a team of internationally renowned doctors working hand in hand with researchers.

ADU’s School of Health Sciences focuses on providing high-quality education in public health, environmental health and safety, nutrition, and biomedical sciences.
