The United States slams the news of China’s “provocative” military activities near Taiwan

A spokesperson for the US State Department called on Beijing to stop its “military and diplomatic” coercion against Taiwan.

The United States slammed China’s largest ever invasion of Taiwan’s air defense zone, calling it a “provocative” and “destabilizing” military activity.

US State Department spokesperson Ned Price called on Beijing on Sunday to stop “military, diplomatic and economic pressure and coercion on Taiwan.”

Price said in a statement: “The United States is very concerned about the provocative military activities of the People’s Republic of China near Taiwan, which destabilize, risk misjudgment, and undermine regional peace and stability.”

The comment came after a new record of 39 aircraft invasions was set on Saturday. On the second day of Beijing’s National Day celebrations, Beijing used 38 fighters (including nuclear-capable H-6 bombers) in this autonomous democratic The island is buzzing.

Taiwan Dispatch fighter jets To warn the Chinese aircraft and deploy missile systems to monitor them.

The island’s 23 million people live under the threat of China’s continuous invasion, which China regards as territory and promises to take it one day.

Taiwan’s Prime Minister Su Zengchang told reporters on Saturday, “While China has committed many acts of bullying, it has been warlike and undermined regional peace.”

“It is clear that the world and the international community are increasingly rejecting this kind of behavior by China,” he said.

Chinese fighters enter Taiwan’s air defense identification zone (ADIZ) almost every day.

The air defense identification zone is different from Taiwan’s airspace. It includes a much larger area, overlapping with part of China’s air defense identification zone, and even includes parts of mainland China.

Since the President of Tsai Ing-wen Tsai Ingwen University in 2016, Beijing’s pressure on Taipei has increased in Tsai Ai County, and they have publicly told China that it must accept that “Taiwan has become independent”.

The United States pledged to “continue to assist Taiwan in maintaining sufficient self-defense capabilities.”

“The U.S. commitment to Taiwan is rock solid and will help maintain peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait and the region,” Price said.

China has not yet commented on its activities. It has previously stated that such flights are designed to protect national sovereignty and to “collaborate” with the United States, Taiwan’s most important international supporter.
