The UAE passport has once again become the most powerful passport in the world.
The Global Passport Index released by Arton Capital ranks it as the world’s first to achieve the highest liquidity score. Passports allow entry into 152 countries/regions. As many as 98 countries provide visa-free entry, 54 countries provide visas on arrival, and 46 countries require visas before entering the country.
The UAE passport ranked the strongest for the first time in December 2018, when the country marked the “Year of Zayed”. The ranking remained the first in 2019, and fell to 14th in 2020. However, in 2021, the passport once again topped the list, becoming the strongest in the world.

The New Zealand passport is the second strongest passport after the UAE, with access to 146 countries/regions. Passport holders from Germany, Finland, Austria, Luxembourg, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, South Korea and Australia can enter 144 countries.
In the Middle East, the Israeli passport ranks second, second only to the UAE. Ranked 17th in the world, Israeli passport holders can enter 89 countries visa-free and have visas on arrival in 37 countries, while 72 countries require visas to enter the country.
Ranked 47th in the global power rankings, the Qatar passport ranks third in the region. Qatar passport holders can enter 52 countries visa-free and have visas on arrival in 39 countries; visas are required in 107 countries/regions.
Among other regional countries, Kuwaiti passport ranks 50th, Bahrain ranks 52nd, Saudi Arabia ranks 55th, and Oman ranks 56th.
On a global scale, Afghanistan has the weakest passport, followed by Iraq, Syria, Pakistan, Somalia, Yemen, Myanmar, Palestinian territories, Eritrea and Iran.
