There is no doubt that Chris Brown and Drake’s hit single “No Guidance” is one of the hottest songs of 2019. However, they are now being sued by an artist and producer claiming that they copied their songs.
In the obtained file TMZ, An artist named Mr. Cooper and a producer named Timothy Valentine claimed that Breezy and Drizzy copied their song “I Love Your Clothes”. In the lawsuit, they stated that they abandoned their records three years before “No Guidance” and claimed that the “beats, lyrics, hooks and rhythm structure” were copied from their songs.
They even pointed out that in “No Guidance,” Chris and Drake repeatedly sang “You understand, girl; you understand,” while Mr. Cooper sang in their song: “She understands; she understands Yes.” Mr. Cooper and Timothy Valentine both sued for copyright infringement and damages.
Neither Chris Brown nor Drake responded by claiming that their records were inspired by Mr. Cooper’s records.
Chris and Drake’s records are included in Chris Brown’s ninth studio album “Indigo” and are already platinum records. The official music video of Mr. Cooper Records was released to YouTube in May 2019.
