Dr. VR Anil Kumar, Medical Director, Musafah Phoenix Hospital in Abu Dhabi, said: “I am very happy and relieved after hearing these words from His Highness.” “We are all experiencing unprecedented situations. Thanks to the wise leadership of the UAE. , We are safe. This did not happen overnight. Healthcare has gone through a lot of challenges. Thank you very much to our frontline heroes and the authorities who led this battle.”

The doctors recalled how the UAE has deployed emergency response based on the war since the spread of the coronavirus in March last year. There are a large number of PCR testing centers, quarantine facilities, testing and tracking treatment policies, safety guidelines, publicity activities, emergency hotline numbers, distribution of free food packages, a large number of volunteers, determined frontline fighters, and a strong healthcare infrastructure. The UAE is ready to lock the corner with a deadly virus.

Dr. Nabil Debouni, Medical Director of the VPS Healthcare Group, emphasized that the country has overcome the epidemic through coordinated and systematic efforts.

He pointed out: “The authorities follow best practices and ensure that the containment procedures at the grass-roots level are strong.” “Since the UAE reported the first case, we have been working collectively. The Ministry of Health and Prevention and NCEMA are responsible for fighting Covid-19. All health Regulators have been raising public awareness and issuing instructions to medical institutions.”

Contact tracing and isolation strategies are complementary to the initiation of phase III clinical trials, and vaccines from companies such as Sinopharm and Pfizer will soon be available. According to the Our World in Data website, the UAE has always been among the leading countries in terms of vaccine distribution rate and proportion of vaccinated population.

Dr. Somansu Basu, a pathologist at Al Ain NMC Specialty Hospital and Chairman of Infection Control, pointed out that the research and use of advanced technology played a key role in the success story. “The UAE’s healthcare system is ready to manage patients and rigorously reviewed health practice protocols. The adoption of the latest technology through the use of the Al Hosn app has also maintained its momentum,” he said.

The doctor said that the pre-pandemic period will return soon. However, Dr. Sunil Vyas, a pulmonologist at the Aster Hospital in Qusais, Dubai, said that people must continue to act responsibly.

“It is important that we follow the Covid -19 guidelines that are constantly updated by NCEMA and the health authorities. The public is now aware of the symptoms and characteristics of Covid and should therefore take appropriate actions-wear a mask, wash hands properly and maintain social distancing when needed, “He added.

Dr. Kumar said that people must not forget the sacrifices of frontline fighters. “This is a new beginning, but we must be cautious in our daily activities to ensure that the pandemic will never come a second time,” he pointed out. “Regular PCR testing is carried out in accordance with government regulations. People who have not been vaccinated must be vaccinated immediately.”

Dr. Vyas added: “Because of the vaccination, the possibility of a new wave is very small; at least, the severity of the infection should also be reduced.”

Dr. Debouni emphasized that enhanced injections will improve immunity and reduce the chance of contracting the virus. “The country has adopted an overall strategy and has never let down its vigilance,” he pointed out.

Dr. Basu added: “The UAE has become a country with a comprehensive and effective epidemic control strategy throughout the Middle East and the world.”
