The team had even secured all necessary permissions for the international shoot. However, the volatile situation in West Asia forced the filmmakers to reconsider their plans at the last moment. Prioritising the safety of the cast and crew, the production team decided to cancel the Dubai schedule entirely. To maintain the scale and visual appeal originally envisioned for the film, the team is recreating a massive desert set in a Mumbai studio, reportedly in the Vile Parle area. Directed by Siddharth Anand, King is one of the most ambitious projects in Shah Rukh Khan’s career.
