Etihad Kuwait Bahrain Flights Resume From Abu Dhabi Today

Some good news for travellers in the capital. Etihad Kuwait Bahrain flights resume from Abu Dhabi starting Saturday, August 8, according to the airline’s official flight status checker. The move ends a three-week suspension that had been in place due to the wider security situation across the Gulf.

Etihad, the UAE’s flag carrier, currently operates flights between Abu Dhabi and around 80 destinations spanning Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe and North America, alongside regional GCC routes.

UAE airspace itself has remained fully open since a partial closure back in May, but individual routes to specific countries had faced temporary pauses as airlines reassessed conditions.

The airline says it is now running a full commercial schedule worldwide, though it continues to advise all passengers to check their flight status online before heading to the airport, just to be safe. Self-service rebooking also remains available for anyone affected by earlier disruptions.

This comes alongside similar movement from other carriers. Qatar Airways has also resumed its Doha to Abu Dhabi route, while Turkish Airlines restarted its full Middle East schedule earlier this summer, aside from routes touching Iran, which remain under close review.

For residents with travel plans to Kuwait or Bahrain, the return of Etihad Kuwait Bahrain flights is a welcome sign that things are slowly returning to normal.
