Oman Projects 2026 Worth $1.9 Billion: Major Investment Push Accelerates

Oman Projects 2026: Where the $1.9 Billion Investment Is Going

Oman is accelerating infrastructure investment, with Oman projects 2026 reaching a major milestone during the first seven months of the year.

The country awarded 74 government contracts worth RO734 million ($1.9 billion) between January and July.

It also issued 60 new tenders worth RO365 million ($949 million), creating a significant pipeline of projects for the months ahead. The latest contracts cover several important areas, including:

  • Transport: Projects aimed at improving roads and connectivity.
  • Healthcare: Development and improvement of healthcare facilities.
  • Flood protection: Infrastructure designed to protect communities and key facilities.
  • Public services: Projects supporting essential government infrastructure.

The investment is expected to support construction, engineering, logistics and other related industries. New projects can also create opportunities for local companies and contractors as Oman continues to expand its infrastructure.

The spending supports Oman‘s wider economic diversification strategy under Oman Vision 2040. The long-term plan aims to develop non-oil sectors, improve infrastructure and create a stronger environment for private investment.

Better roads and public facilities can also improve connectivity between cities and economic zones. This could support tourism, trade and business activity while helping communities benefit from improved services.

With almost $1 billion worth of additional tenders already issued, the pipeline for Oman projects 2026 remains strong.

The government is expected to continue using infrastructure and development projects to support economic growth while reducing the country’s reliance on oil revenues. The scale of current spending also signals continued confidence in Oman’s long-term development plans.
