UAE Agentic AI: Digital Bank ruya Goes Live With AI Technology
The UAE Agentic AI sector is gaining momentum as digital-first Islamic bank ruya has deployed agentic artificial intelligence in production through a long-term partnership with UAE enterprise AI company Magure.
The development was announced on August 18, 2026, with ruya describing its goal as becoming an AI-native bank. According to the companies, three agentic AI use cases are already live and supporting business-account onboarding and transaction-processing workflows.
The technology is designed to handle parts of banking processes that traditionally require significant manual work.
For business-account onboarding, the AI can analyse documents, carry out verification checks and prepare case summaries. Human oversight remains part of the process, particularly where decisions require employee involvement.
The partnership is part of a broader push by UAE banks to use artificial intelligence to improve efficiency, automate routine activities and enhance customer services. The rollout also reflects the growing shift from experimental AI projects toward systems operating in real banking environments.
Magure’s platform, MagOneAI, is designed to build, deploy, orchestrate and monitor AI agents for enterprise workflows. The company says its platform includes governance, monitoring and audit capabilities aimed at production deployments.
For ruya, the latest move places agentic AI directly into banking operations rather than limiting the technology to testing or pilot programmes.
The development highlights the UAE‘s growing focus on practical AI adoption across financial services and could encourage further use of autonomous AI workflows within the country’s banking sector.
