During the guided tour of Expo 2020 Dubai, visitors can discover the intricate stories behind each pavilion.
Residents and tourists only need 65 dirhams to hire a tour guide on the Expo 2020 website. They can even choose to ride bicycles and hikes.
The Expo offers two types of tour packages-essential tours and half-day tours.
The half-day hike costs AED 65 per person and takes visitors to a theme pavilion-Terra, Mission possible or Alif-for 15 stops during the trip. The tour only takes more than three hours to complete.
Those who want to explore all three themed pavilions can choose the basic tour package, which costs Dh120 per person. In each theme pavilion, the tour guide will explain the meaning and ideas behind these structures. There are 25 sites on the tour, which will lead tourists to visit the various attractions of the Expo.
“Visitors can understand Sky garden, water theme attractions And parks, to name a few,” said Mohammad Elleithy, the guide for Expo 2020.
Each national pavilion is built in a unique way, and there is a message behind it.
“The tour guide can take tourists on a completely different journey,” Mohammed said. “Take the Korean Pavilion as an example. Visitors will think it is a rotating cube, but there is a story behind it. Things like the Oman Pavilion are Built in the form of a frankincense tree, Which is noteworthy for Oman. There is a real frankincense tree in front of the pavilion. “
On the other hand, there are five horse sculptures at the entrance of the Turkmenistan Pavilion, but few people know that this is because the horse is the country’s national animal.
The trek starts at the entrance of the theme pavilion and ends at Al Wasl Square, where visitors can learn some tidbits about the “beating heart” of the Expo 2020 site.
Bike tour
The bicycle tour package is free and can be booked online according to the tourist’s preferred time. The bike tour will have seven stops during the journey.
Mohammad said that the tour guide received an enthusiastic response from the tourists.
“This is a very large-scale event, and you can hire a tour guide to learn more about Expo 2020,” he said.
Each group is limited to 14 people to participate in the bike tour. There are two time slots to choose from: Arabic-speaking guides at 10 am and 4 pm, and English-speaking guides at 10.10 am and 4.10 pm.

“I participated in the bike tour earlier. I hope my children learn from the guide. What a great experience to learn during the trip,” she said.
Maria added that riding a bicycle for an hour can help visitors easily browse the vast expo site.
“Once you participate in the bike tour, you will know what you have to visit. It is definitely a good idea to have a tour guide who can provide some interesting facts about the Expo,” she said.

Reize is a British expat and a student of Dubai Academy. He said this trip was a great experience.
“The knowledge of the three themed pavilions is great, and the tour guide provided satisfactory explanations. I still have a lot to explore because the bike tour is limited to a few themes and attractions,” he said.
