The trilateral meeting will discuss the progress made since the signing of the Abraham Agreement last year
The US State Department announced on Saturday (local time) that US Secretary of State Anthony Brinken will hold a meeting with the foreign ministers of the UAE and Israel next week.
The department said in a statement that Brinken will meet with UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Rapid on Wednesday. The United States and each country will hold bilateral meetings, and then there will be trilateral meetings with all three representatives.
The statement said: “They will discuss the progress made since the signing of the Abraham Agreement last year, future cooperation opportunities, and bilateral issues including regional security and stability.”
Brinken said on Twitter that he is looking forward to the meeting to discuss “achievements and other important issues since the signing of the Abraham Agreement.”
“I look forward to welcoming colleagues @YairLapid and @ABZayed from Israel and the UAE next week to a meeting in Washington to discuss the achievements since the signing of the Abraham Agreement and other important issues,” he said.
