Some scammers use the names of reputable companies to gain the trust of their victims and then deceive them
The Abu Dhabi police have urged job seekers to be cautious about online scammers, and they are now using major incidents in the UAE to claim that they are offering jobs in these activities.
The force said on Monday that these fraudsters created social media pages for fake companies, and they said they had been approved by the event organizers to recruit people to participate in the event.
The scammers then charge people who apply for these fake jobs. The victims later discovered that despite paying the agent, they were still unable to find a job, so they were deceived.
Major General Mohamed Suhail Al Rashidi, the criminal security manager of the Abu Dhabi Police Department, said that some scammers use the names of reputable companies to gain the trust of victims and then defraud them.
“Job seekers should be wary of fraudsters who promote non-existent jobs on social media and fake websites. These scammers pretend to be recruitment agents and promote jobs online, claiming that they are hiring for large companies looking for workers,” he said.

The official also warned young women who are looking for jobs not to share their photos with these recruitment agents, and emphasized that they might use these photos to blackmail them.
