Covid-19: India records 38,949 new cases-News

In 24 hours, the number of active cases decreased by 1,619.

According to data updated by the Federal Ministry of Health on Friday, India recorded 38,949 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections to 31,026,829, while the death toll reached 412,531 and the death toll increased by 542.

The data updated at 8 am showed that the number of active cases had dropped to 430,422, accounting for 1.39% of the total number of infections, while the national Covid-19 recovery rate was 97.28%.

It said that the number of active cases recorded in 24 hours has decreased by 1,619.

The ministry stated that 1,955,910 tests were conducted on Thursday, bringing the country’s cumulative total of tests to detect Covid-19 to 440,023,239, and the daily positive rate was 1.99%.

It said that the positive rate for 25 consecutive days was less than 3%, it said

According to the Ministry of Health, the weekly positive rate is 2.14%.

Data show that the number of people who have recovered from the disease has increased to 30,183,876, and the case fatality rate has risen to 1.33%.

In the nationwide vaccination campaign against Covid-19, 395.3 million vaccine doses have been vaccinated so far.

Last year, the total number of Covid-19 in India exceeded the 2 million mark on August 7, the 3 million mark on August 23, the 4 million mark on September 5, and the 5 million mark on September 16 last year.

It exceeded 6 million on September 28, 7 million on October 11, 8 million on October 29, 9 million on November 20, and 10 million on December 19 last year.

India exceeded 20 million cases and 30 million cases on May 4 and June 23, respectively.

According to the ministry, the additional 542 deaths include 170 deaths in Maharashtra and 87 deaths in Kerala.

The country reported a total of 412,531 deaths, of which 126,560 were from Maharashtra, 36,037 were from Karnataka, 33,606 were from Tamil Nadu, 25,022 were from Delhi, and 22,705 were from Uttar Pradesh. 17,970 people came from West Bengal212.

The ministry stated that more than 70% of deaths are caused by comorbidities.

“Our data is being checked with the Medical Research Council of India,” the ministry said on its website, adding that the distribution of data in each state is subject to further verification and verification.
