Pop Smoke’s alleged murderer tried to drop the murder charge because he was the so-called driver and not the gunman (exclusive)

TSR exclusive report: The only adult suspect charged in the late Pop Smoke murder is trying to drop some of the charges against him because he was only the driver accused during the crime and he himself did not kill anyone.

When Corey Walker and his attorney Christopher Darden appeared before the judge this morning, the shady room was in court and filed a motion to dismiss multiple charges, including murders that occurred during robbery and burglary. Walker is one of the four suspects arrested for the Pop Smoke murder. The other suspects were all minors in the incident.

Although Darden told us that they are negotiating a settlement, he admitted that his team and the District Attorney’s Office are “far from complete.” “Maybe we will have a solution…or not,” Dutton said, adding, “We all realize that my client didn’t kill anyone. He is a 19-year-old kid.”

Shade Room obtained documents in the Los Angeles County Superior Court this morning, in which Dutton argued that Walker was not a gunman and he had never entered the house when the crime occurred in the early hours of February 19, 2020. Dutton, this means that Walker should not be seen as a major participant in the murder.

In fact, Dutton even argued that when his client gave his gun to another suspect before the teenager entered the home, he allegedly insisted that if it is necessary for the teenager to protect themselves indoors, they should “use Vase instead of shooting people.”

“There is no evidence that the defendant had any previous criminal history with his co-suspects, or that he knew any of them was particularly violent or inclined to shoot and kill the victim,” the document reads. “Given the nature of the crime, the defendant did everything he could to prevent the victim from dying. The defendant was not in the house when the shooting occurred, so once the suspect is inside, he cannot stop the shooting.”

According to the documents, Dutton even claimed that Walker was so frustrated with the behavior of his colleagues that he attacked 15 year old shooter When they came back from the scene.

“This is not a plan. The plan is that no one will be killed or injured,” the document reads.

Darden also pointed out that his clients did not know that other than the “calories” he provided to teenagers, other people brought guns into their homes, the document said. Dutton said Walker’s gun was not a gun used to kill popular smoke.

“He offered a gun to a person and told that person not to use it. That person did not use the gun or kill the victim,” Dutton said.

At the preliminary hearing, the prosecutor said that Walker had searched the house a few hours earlier and knew that the teenagers planned to point a gun at Pop Smoke to obtain the ice cubes that he had flashed in his Instagram photos earlier in the day.

Prosecutor Hillary Williams said: “They specifically targeted this house, hoping that the victim is there,” adding that Walker’s actions showed “reckless indifference to human life.”

The prosecution may respond to Friday’s motion before the judge makes a decision at Walker’s next hearing scheduled for early December. We will promptly notify you of any updates.
