Telangana police arrested four brothers on Friday for allegedly killing an NRI businessman in Hyderabad.
According to the Deputy Chief (DCP) Gajarao Bhupal of the Southern District (Hyderabad) Police Department, the defendants arrested were identified as-Rayees Jabri, Adil Jabri, Syeed Saleh Jabri and Saad Bin Saleh Jabri. All residents of the Chandrayangutta area of the city.
“The victim and the defendant Rayees Jabri worked together in Dubai in the past. When the defendant Rayees Jabri returned to India in 2019, the victim gave him a bag of gold without his knowledge to be transported from Dubai to India. At the airport. , He was arrested with a kilo of gold,” Bhupal said.
DCP stated that during the interrogation, the defendant Raees stated that the victim had promised him financial assistance and work, but failed to do so.
“When this businessman came to India from Dubai, the brothers confronted him on Wednesday, and when he refused to fulfill his promise, they decided to kill him,” he added.
After the victim was stabbed to death on Wednesday, the police have registered the FIR.
Further investigation of the case is ongoing.
