Officials announced on Monday that the Expo 2020 Dubai had recorded more than 700,000 visitors in the second week after its opening.
Expo officials announced at the daily briefing on October 18 that from October 11th to 17th, a total of 771,477 ticket purchase visits were recorded.
The World Expo, covering more than four square kilometers, welcomed 181 countries in the second week.
“I am happy to say that our visitor numbers have increased by 12% every week,” said an Expo official. “Almost half of the visitors have season tickets, and we have already had more than 100,000 people actually came to the site twice.”
More than 35,000 tourists have visited the Expo three times. In addition, the official stated that since October 1, the number of virtual visitors has increased to 9.3 million, an increase of 1.5 million from the previous week.
