For several weeks, Kyrie Irving has been the headline news because he is still one of the only players on the Brooklyn Nets who have not been vaccinated. Carey has made it clear that he chose not to vaccinate, which not only cost him hundreds of thousands of dollars, but also extended his contract.
As we previously reported, Carey has been suspended indefinitely and is not allowed to train or play with his team until he is fully vaccinated. Former NBA superstar and businessman Magic Johnson recently talked about this controversy in a conversation with a reporter from the CBS Morning Post. The fully vaccinated Magician explained that NBA players not only set an example for fans, but also risk losing the championship if they do not get the shot.
“People listen to them, and they follow them. This is very important,” said the magician. “That’s why I took two photos and made sure to post them on social media. I want my community to know that it is safe first.”
He went on to say that he would never choose not to be vaccinated because it would put his teammates at a disadvantage in terms of winning on the court.
“The last thing is this. You say to your teammates,’I will wait for you there.’ Well, if you don’t get vaccinated, you can’t be there. You let them down, it hurts our winning total A chance to win. I will never do this to my teammates.”
Carey broke his silence recently after reports about his status in the NBA. He said he is making a choice and hopes it will be respected.Carey has always received the attention of many public figures, including Stephen A. Smith and Howard Stern.
