The UAE Racing Board and Dubai Turf Club launched an initiative to increase the contribution of Emirati to the horse racing industry – Dubai Blog

Under the instructions of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the United Arab Emirates Racing Authority (ERA), ERA and Dubai Racing Club announced the establishment of a partnership to start A plan to train and recruit UAE nationals to participate in supervised competitions.

The joint initiative aims to provide ERA with a professional UAE management team capable of overseeing the competition, in line with the leadership’s vision of empowering young citizens in all areas, including horse racing. As part of this program, Emirati will participate in a series of theoretical and scientific programs led by experienced professionals with a long history in the field.

Sheikh Rashid bin Dalmook Al Maktoum, Vice Chairman of ERA and Chairman of Dubai Turf Club, said: “This initiative stems from our leadership’s belief that investing in UAE nationals and empowering them in the field of horse racing is an indispensable part. We also firmly believe that it is time for UAE nationals to participate in ethnic management through this initiative aimed at cultivating the nation’s ability to work in this area. The 2021/22 UAE season will begin in Jebel Ali on Friday, October 29, and the Meydan Racecourse will hold the first of 22 races on Thursday, November 4. At the same time, the Al Ain Racecourse will hold its first race on November 5, while the Abu Dhabi Racecourse will start on Sunday, November 7, and the famous Dubai World Cup will be held on March 26, 2022.
