Covid-19: Dubai releases new travel advice for summer travelers-News

The authorities have provided some tips for people to follow before, during, and after travel.

Summer is here-followed by the tourist season. As several UAE residents plan to go abroad for rest, the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has issued new travel advice to ensure travelers stay safe during the coronavirus pandemic.

The authorities have provided some tips for travelers to follow before, during, and after travel.

Before you travel

>> Make sure you have two doses of Covid-19 vaccine.

>> Choose a low-risk destination.

>> Make an appointment at Traveler’s Clinic and learn about all the risks you may face in your chosen destination. These include any infectious diseases, health systems, safety levels, climate issues, Covid-19 incidence, sanitary conditions, etc.

>> Keep up to date with all regulations and procedures of the country and destination country.

>> If you have any health conditions, please consult your doctor to evaluate your health conditions.

>> Choose a hotel that takes all precautions.

>> Have sufficient stocks of hand sanitizer, masks, etc. on hand.

Traveling

>> Always wear a mask correctly.

>> Take all precautions in public areas.

>> Avoid crowded places.

>> Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth without washing your hands.

>> Wash your hands or disinfect frequently—especially after touching surfaces and public areas.

>> Do not share items and personal tools with others.

>> Do not share food with others, and do not eat food from street vendors.

>> Use contactless payment methods as much as possible.

>> After arriving at your accommodation, please make sure they follow all precautions.

>> If you have a fever or respiratory symptoms, please self-isolate and seek medical support.

After travel

>> Keep up to date with all regulations and procedures related to Covid testing and isolation.

>> If you experience any Covid-19 symptoms after your arrival, please self-isolate and take a PCR test.
