In the US$3 million MBZIRC Maritime Challenge, local talents will show their talents.

With the UAE’s investment in advanced technology, young people in the UAE are gaining skills and education to prepare for opportunities.

Dr. Arthur Morrish, CEO of Aspire, who organized the Muhammad bin Zayed International Robotics Challenge (MBZIRC), looks forward to seeing local talents play a role in this US$3 million MBZIRC Maritime Challenge.

“The vast majority of UAE youth and professionals have shown a keen interest in learning new technical skills to adapt to the workplace of the future. As the UAE undergoes this digital transformation and builds its knowledge economy, it continues to place the country in the global technological innovation This is becoming more and more obvious. However, achieving this goal requires the joint efforts of the public, private and education sectors,” Dr. Morish told Khaleej Times.

The three-stage global challenge is underway. The white paper submission round will be until December 30, followed by a simulation in August 2022 and a live demonstration in June 2023.

“The competition is open to leading universities, research institutions, companies and individual innovators from all over the world, including the UAE. We are very excited about the entries from the UAE and can’t wait to wait for local talents to show their skills and skills on the global stage. Compete with the best players in the world.”

In the challenge, top universities, research institutions, companies and individual innovators from all over the world can participate. Encourage them to cooperate and cooperate with the industry to form a team.

The focus of the competition is to find real-world solutions to maritime safety and security challenges such as smuggling, human trafficking, illegal fishing and piracy. Dr. Morrish stated that the robot-based industry will play a key role in the future knowledge-based economy of the UAE.
