Fully vaccinated citizens who have received two doses of the approved Covid-19 vaccine can travel
As of Wednesday, October 27, the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) and the General Civil Aviation Administration (GCAA) have updated the travel agreement for UAE citizens who travel to countries on the restricted travel list.
The new update allows citizens (who have received the full dose of the approved Covid-19 vaccine) to travel.
At the same time, the protocol prohibits travel of citizens who have not received the full dose of the vaccine, except for UAE diplomatic missions, patients and humanitarian cases, and those who study scholarships abroad, provided that they have been approved by the UAE government in advance. Citizens returning from these countries must present a valid negative Covid-19 PCR test result and QR code in order to be tested within 48 hours after departure, and to present the result of another rapid PCR test conducted, but no more than the destination airport departure More than 6 hours before the time.
This move is aimed at promoting the country’s strategy in the recovery phase, strengthening the gradual opening of all important sectors and the gradual return of management to normal.
The agreement states that vaccinated passengers must undergo PCR testing on arrival, and two more PCR tests on the fourth and eighth days.
Passengers who have not been vaccinated must undergo PCR testing upon arrival, be isolated for 10 days, and be tested again on the 9th day.

The agreement also covers many departure requirements, including registering in the “Tawajudi” service and uploading valid negative PCR test results and itineraries within 48 hours, as well as complying with destination requirements and procedures.
The two entities also advise travelers to go to a medical center when they develop symptoms or contract the virus, and notify the UAE embassy in the country. The agreement also recommends that people over the age of 70 do not travel to maintain health and safety.
